A backup is useful only when the required site files and data can be restored. Agree where copies are held, who can access them and how restoration is checked. Frequency and retention should reflect how often the site changes and the consequences of losing recent data.

Large media, heavy scripts, slow server responses and failing third-party services can affect browsing. We investigate the page and device conditions involved before proposing changes. Performance work should preserve enquiries, content editing and the functions that visitors rely on.

Updates need a way to check compatibility, review important pages and recover if a problem occurs. For a site with forms or business workflows, the checks should include a complete user journey. A version change alone does not demonstrate that a website is ready for visitors.

Support hours, response expectations, escalation contacts and provider responsibilities belong in the service agreement. We do not treat round-the-clock cover or a fixed recovery time as automatically included. The operating team should know what to do if hosting, email or payments are affected.
