An academic website people can navigate.

University and college website development for institutions in Assam and Northeast India. From our Guwahati base, Curobotic brings academic content, administrative publishing and student journeys into a website designed around the people who use it.

A clear scope, from the start

What your project needs to work.

Start with the tasks your users need to complete. We shape the design, development and handover around those requirements.

Let’s make it happen
Organise information around the visitor

Applicants, current students, faculty, alumni and administrators arrive with different questions. A university website needs clear routes to programmes, notices, departments and institutional information. We begin by mapping those journeys and agreeing who owns the content behind each one.

Make publishing responsibilities explicit

An academic CMS needs more than a text editor. The project should define which teams can create, review and publish content, and how outdated material is handled. Department pages, notices and supporting documents need a consistent structure that staff can maintain.

Connect the admissions journey

A prospective student should understand a programme and reach the correct admission destination without confusion. The website and admission portal may remain separate systems, but labels, links and current deadlines need to agree. Application processing and payment workflows are scoped separately where required.

Prepare the existing content for migration

A redesign is an opportunity to review duplicate pages, old documents and broken links. We map retained URLs, content owners and redirects before moving material. Documents and course information need institutional review; a new template cannot establish whether an old notice is still valid.

Design for access and varied devices

Readable information, keyboard navigation, descriptive labels and responsive layouts should be part of the build. Large PDFs and images need particular attention for mobile visitors. Any formal accessibility or institutional compliance requirement must be stated and assessed against the agreed scope.

Use the RGU work as a concrete reference

Our published portfolio includes the main website for Rajiv Gandhi University in Arunachal Pradesh, alongside its mobile app, admission portal, alumni portal and AI chatbot. These are separate project stories that illustrate connected institutional needs without treating them as one identical product.

Can departments manage their own content?

Role-based publishing can be scoped so departments maintain their areas while the institution retains oversight. Agree approval steps, administrator responsibilities and the content types each team needs.

Will existing search URLs be retained?

We prepare a URL inventory and map retained pages or appropriate redirects. Important pages and downloads should be checked during migration so a redesign does not unnecessarily break existing links.

Is an admission portal included in a university website project?

Only when explicitly included. Public programme information, applicant registration, application review and payments are different responsibilities and should each have an agreed owner and scope.

Your next chapter starts here.

Good things start with a conversation.

A new idea. A clearer direction. A better way forward.
